Huit parcours de ski de fond sont offerts, en style libre ou classique. Le 45 et le 38 km font le tour géographique de la montagne, révélant des points de vue à couper le souffle. Les parcours du 12, du 20 et du 25 sont au pied du mont Valin, tout près du Centre d’interprétation et de services du parc.
45 km : Course leveled over four meters wide and marked along its entire length. Requires strength and endurance since altitude varies from 230 to 720 meters.
38 km : Same as the 45 km, minus a loop of 12 km on the piedmont. Less demanding, but still aimed at seasoned skiers.
25 km : Consist in three loops of 12 km followed by a 7km one and a 5km one. Beautiful panoramas in prime.
20 & 12 km : Remaining on the piedmont but still offering great viewpoints. If you prefer snow shoeing, you’ve got three options.
Petit Tour: The “Petit Tour“, for beginners and future athletes. A 2.8km loop that you can perform one, two or three times, depending on the chosen distance.
Deux circuits de raquettes,
7 km : Whether race or walk, this course will make you discover a beautiful view on the mountain, from the piedmont. Without any specific difficulties, fun is guaranteed.
12 km : Race. A little more demanding but with a gorgeous view in return.
Time cap is of 5 hours to complete the 38 km distance and 6 hours for the 45km. At any time, the competition organisation reserves the right to remove a skier or snowshoer who may not achieve this goal.

Sauvetage 02, a specialized organisation, is responsible for the event security. It is assisted by a crew to close the course, by Caribou-Conscrits snowmobile Club and “Radios amateurs Saguenay“ Club.
Every course is marked all the way and every hazard zones are identified. Five relays are in place along the course and the distance between each of them is about 8km. At each relay, a first aid team (Sauvetage 02) is there, ready to react in case of emergency. Relays are in communication at all time with the operations center thanks to Radio Amateur Saguenay. They are as well in communication with an emergency center where a doctor and nurses are in place. Caribou-Conscrits snowmobile Club controls the security on slopes and assure security along the course.
To make sure courses are easily identified, every distance correspond to a color, which is displayed all along the way. It is the participant responsibility to know his/her course color.:
12 km = Blue
20 km = Orange
25 km = Vert
38 km = Yellow
45 km = Red
Petit tour = Purple
7 km = Brun
12 km = Green
Skiing : Five heated relays are in place along the course where you will find water, beuverages and snacks.
